A Rising Talent Securing His Place in the Professional Game
In a competitive market of rising prospects, Fleetwood Town FC fought off interest from several clubs to secure Luke’s signature last year. The Cod Army signed the 19-year-old shot-stopper on a two-year deal running through to the summer of 2026 — a testament to the belief they have in his potential and character.

From Sunderland Roots to Liverpool Development
Luke’s journey began in the North East, where the Newcastle-born goalkeeper first developed at Sunderland’s Academy. His early years built the technical foundation and mentality that have carried him forward today.
In 2019, he made the move to Merseyside, joining Liverpool at Under-15 level. Over the coming seasons, he continued to impress, progressing through the Under-18s and eventually the Under-21s squads. During that time, Luke trained in elite environments, working with top-level goalkeeper coaches and learning what it takes to succeed at the highest level.
Senior Football Experience: 42 Games, One Assist, and 3,780 Minutes
Last season, Luke gained his first taste of senior men’s football with a loan spell at Stalybridge Celtic. For any young keeper, the jump to non-league provides invaluable experience — and Luke embraced it fully.
He completed an impressive 42 matches across all competitions, earning consistent praise for his shot-stopping, distribution, and maturity. Across 3,780 minutes of Northern Premier League action, Luke even recorded a goalkeeper’s dream achievement: an assist.
That blend of technical quality and real-world experience is something we value deeply — and something that makes Luke stand out from many keepers his age.
